Beat the Winter Blues at St Nicks’

If the gloomy weather is leaving you feeling uninspired this winter, pop along to St Nicholas’ Chapel for a variety of free activities and a good cup of tea.  From the 16th January until the 7th February, there will be something on offer every Tuesday and Wednesday from 11am – 12:30pm.  All activities are free, and there is no need to book.

16th January – Organ Music. Learn about our famous organ and listen to some favourite pieces of music. If time, you might even get the chance and to have go yourself

17th January – De-stress Craft. Make a popular ‘Dammit Doll’ to help relieve stress. Simple to make and can been thrown against almost anything!

23rd January – Hands-on Bell Ringing.  Discover St Nicks’ bells and try your hand at ringing one.

24th January – Introduction to Crochet.  Learn the basics of crochet, or bring along your own work to crochet and chat with a cup of tea.

30th January – Chapel tour.  Explore the Chapel with one of experienced volunteer guides, then relax with a hot drink and cake.

31st January – Tea and craft.  Relax with mindful colouring, cross-stitch and a cup of tea.

6th February – Healthy Walk.  Enjoy a walk around the town, exploring the unique heritage, then return to the Chapel for refreshments.

7th February – Knitting Tree.  Learn the basics of knitting, or just pop along to have a knit and natter.

No booking required, but please be prompt for the start of activities such as the tour, walk and bell ringing.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.  The Chapel is open Tuesdays – Saturdays, from 10:30am – 3pm.
