Getting here and Staying in King's Lynn

By Rail

Hourly services operate to King’s Lynn from London King’s Cross (1h 55m) and Cambridge (56m). With excellent connections from the Midlands via Ely, which is 36 minutes away from King’s Lynn by train. There are good links by train from Stansted Airport and other major airports. When you use the station, you’re in good company, Her Majesty The Queen uses the King’s Lynn train. On arrival, you won’t have far to go, the station is conveniently located just a short walk from the town centre.

By Bus and Coach

You can get direct services to King’s Lynn by bus from surrounding towns and villages, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Norwich and Peterborough. The Coastliner travels to King’s Lynn from Fakenham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Hunstanton. King’s Lynn bus station is in the heart of the town centre next to the Lynn Museum and the Vancouver Quarter shopping complex.

By Car

King’s Lynn sits at the intersection of three major routes, the A10, A17 and A47, giving good access from London, the Midlands and the South. It’s easily accessible by road from major airports. Once you are here, there are plenty of parking options and it’s really easy to get around the town centre.

The Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk operates 17 council car parks within King’s Lynn town centre. King’s Lynn car parks include Tuesday Market Place, Vancouver and St James’ Multi-Storey. Motorcycles can park in designated parking bays. The Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk offers a number of cashless ways to pay for parking including a smartphone app.
