It’s almost time for Heritage Open Day!
On Sunday 10th September, head into the town to take the opportunity to explore King’s Lynn’s historic buildings. With well over 60 places of interest to see during the day there is also a Medieval Market happening across the whole weekend on the Saturday Market Place, plus the annual Classic Car event in the town on Sunday too, making King’s Lynn’s Heritage Open Day a bumper event of history and heritage.
The King’s Lynn Civic Society working with the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, the King’s Lynn Town Guides, local businesses, residents and Friends groups arrange another jam-packed programme of open buildings, cemeteries and towers and tunnels with lots of special events, talks and exhibitions.<
A guaranteed day of fun for all the family, and the chance to have a sneak peek at buildings not normally open to the public, including a very popular World War II Air Raid Shelter underneath Tuesday Market Place. There is also a veteran bus arranged each year, free for everyone to use on the day.
