We’ve got lots of exciting events planned over the festive period in King’s Lynn town centre!
Christmas Light Switch On
Thursday 28th November:
The fun starts at 4pm with a small number of fairground rides in the Tuesday Market Place, a festive fair with Liquor and Loaded, the Bank House and Goldings/Dough Dealers, alongside a mix of craft and artisan food traders from previous Farmers and Craft Markets. There will be live Christmassy music in the bandstand whilst the light parade gets ready at Stories of Lynn at 5pm, ready to leave at 5.30pm. The glowing and flashing parade will arrive in the Tuesday Market Place for 6pm. Music will then play from the main stage. Twist and Pulse, Britain’s Got Talent Champions, will hopefully take a break from Panto rehearsals, to join us for a special appearance on the main stage, before we start the countdown to the switch on at 7pm.
Late night shopping
Thursday 28th November – 19th December:
Late-night shopping takes place every Thursday from 28thNovember through to 19 December. Cheeky roller-skating Elves and glowing Ballerinas will delight shoppers as they go through the streets, adding to the festive feel.
Thursday 28th November – 24th December:
The first Festive Fair happens on 28 November and takes place over four weekends at the following times:
Thursday and Friday 4pm til 8pm, Saturday 10am – 6pm and Sunday 11am – 4pm.
There’ll be fairground rides for little ones while adults can enjoy the artisan food and drink stalls and craft gift stalls featuring both new and regular traders. Live traditional, acoustic and festive music will be on the bandstand including Bear Club, Sam Coe & The Long Shadows, Jessies Ghost, East Angles Brass, Georgia Shackleton Trio, Kings Lynn Town Band, Flashback Photograph, Jack Daw, Dead Reynolds Acoustic, Simon Benefer, Springwood Big Band, Springwood Band, Amy & Eve, Issy Smith, Jason Fox, Sylvia Winter and many more!
Festive Farmer’s Market
Over 20 stalls featuring some regular Farmers’ Markets favourites as well as some new faces, along with an organ player and choir to really get shoppers into the Christmas spirit. In the atmospheric surroundings of the Minster, with teas and coffees, stall holders include: Whatahoot Gin, Fen Spirits, Bramblebee Farms, Drove Orchards, Harrison Chocolates, The Handmade Doughnut Co, Coriander and Lime, The Little Blue Pupcakery and many more!
Have a creative, crafty Christmas this year! On Thursday’s and Saturday’s from 30/11 until 21/12 and including Friday 20th there will be 2 craft workshops suitable for families. Make decorations and presents including edible decorations, decorations made from natural materials and cards, tags, gift boxes.
